You used to have strange cutscenes with real people between the eight different levels, but these are no longer present. A simple remasterįantavision 202X is a remaster of a very old game, so it is not really attractive to see in 2023, so you should not expect major graphical innovations (just 4K at 60fps). It is a complete mess and certainly not a game that is recommended for the VR headset. Very disturbing for the presentation of the game and you can not turn this off. You only use one controller for efficiency anyway, but the game forces you to play like a cowboy with two lasers. It is quite inconvenient to aim with both hands at the same time. It’s just a mystery why both VR2 controllers show a white laser continuously, instead of just one. You can use the Sense controllers as lasers to catch the fireworks this way. For example, you do not have the option to click on fireworks using eye tracking (as is possible with Rez Infinite) and the headset will not vibrate subtly when detonating or activating Starmine. To make matters worse, PlayStation VR2’s unique features aren’t taken advantage of either. In short, it is a very poorly developed VR mode. In addition, the fireworks themselves are very close and due to the low resolution it just doesn’t look right. So instead of an overwhelming free environment, you see a square. ![]() Although you are in the middle of the level, you see a clear frame in which the gameplay takes place. The virtual reality rendering of the game is also embarrassing. So you need to have a normal DualSense controller at hand to turn on the VR option. However, you cannot immediately get started with the VR2 headset, because you cannot select the option via the Sense controllers. It starts right from the start of the game, where you get the option to play the game in VR mode or normally. So you might think: with so much color, deep blacks and large environments, it must be an unforgettable experience with PlayStation VR2. This makes it very easy for you, because you get as many of the same type / color of fire arrows as possible. It’s the letters that make the word Starmine that you all need to detonate to activate a bonus section. You also get the option to activate a Starmine. Fortunately, you have a power-up here and there that functions as an extra bonus flare. If you wait too long, that arrow will go out, you will get a miss and you will lose points in your high score. Sometimes you want to be left with a flare, so you have to wait for the next load. You have the same levels, the gameplay is unchanged and stringing together the different colored fireworks can sometimes be a tough task. The game has largely remained the same at its core. This way you can create a true spectacle of fireworks, which still looks very nice years later. After you have a set, you can switch to a different color set of fire arrows via the prismatic flare. You cannot select the different colors together. ![]() With a laser you can ‘catch’ these flares and if you get three or more of the same color together, you can detonate it. Four flares are fired per round in different colors: red, blue, green and prismatic. One that is very simple in concept, but can be quite spicy in practice. What is Fantasy Vision? At its core, it’s basically a puzzle game. ![]() In this special we see if we can open the bottle of champagne, or if we stick to some stars. Fantavision 202X is a re-release of the old game with an extra feature: it can also be played with the recently released PlayStation VR2. That day was a good party! Now we are now a few generations further and we can once again fill the evening sky with colorful splashes. ![]() A thematically perfect game, considering it’s all about fireworks and the launch of the PS2 could be celebrated. It was one of the launch games that appeared on November 24, 2000. Special | Fantasyvision 202X – Fantavision is a game that we should know from the PlayStation 2.
