Prado was self-defense, that's something we can all agree with someone attacks you with a knife and your base instinct is survival at all costs, including killing the other person. I don't agree will the "we've seen this before" takes on this episode. As a fan of the series, I'm kind of already compromised in some respects. I can admit that the killing of Farrow was wrong, but I'm watching a show where I have to accept that there are actually acceptable reasons to kill someone at all. Morgan is, the actual strict moral line of the code gets a bit blurred for me as a viewer. Sometimes, with as fun a show as Dexter can be, and a great a character as Mr. I mean, if Batista (David Zayas) is correct then Farrow didn't kill the one particular Nicaraguan girl, but he still most likely is a rapist and general all around dickweed. And the fact that Farrow was, pretty much, a reprehensible piece of filth doesn't really help me empathize with Dexter's dilemma as much as I should. Yes, the circumstances were different and Jonathan Farrow (Greg Ellis) actually got the full Dexter plastic wrap treatment, but it's still a notion that we as an audience have been introduced too before.
